Weekly October inspiration in honor of breast cancer awareness month is back. Our first quote for 2019 is from Pierre de Coubertin.
The important thing in life is not the triumph but the fight.
One of the reasons I like this quote for this month is because while the ultimate goal of breast cancer awareness month is to conquer the disease (for an individual patient) and find a cure for all, it is often the fight to get there that brings our communities together. I think of all the people who sign up to participate in rallies and walks, the small businesses that create t-shirts, cards and gifts to help show those enduring the disease their love and support and all the work by doctors, nurses and researchers do to take care of their patients and push science forward.
This week’s installment of breast cancer awareness inspiration is short and sweet: Small Steps. Every Day. Each day, each treatment all lead us down a path towards our ultimate goal: freedom from this disease.
Our final October inspiration is a quote from Eleanor Roosevelt. With it, she reminds us that we can do the things we have deemed impossible. You must do the things you think you cannot do. – Eleanor Roosevelt October Inspiration / No. 1 October Inspiration / No. 2 October Inspiration / No. 3 October Inspiration…
This week’s installment of October inspiration reminds us that our scars can be powerful reminders of what we have accomplished. She wears her scars like a warrior for they remind her she’s alive. October Inspiration / No. 1 October Inspiration / No. 2 October Inspiration / No. 3
This week’s October inspiration challenges us to not give up. Especially when that is the path of least resistance. It’s okay to not be okay. Just don’t give up. October Inspiration / No. 1 October Inspiration / No. 2
This week’s October inspiration for breast cancer awareness month is about believing in yourself even during your toughest challenge. You were made to do hard things. Believe you can. October Inspiration / No. 1
