October Inspiration 2019 No. 1
Weekly October inspiration in honor of breast cancer awareness month is back. Our first quote for 2019 is from Pierre de Coubertin.
The important thing in life is not the triumph but the fight.
One of the reasons I like this quote for this month is because while the ultimate goal of breast cancer awareness month is to conquer the disease (for an individual patient) and find a cure for all, it is often the fight to get there that brings our communities together. I think of all the people who sign up to participate in rallies and walks, the small businesses that create t-shirts, cards and gifts to help show those enduring the disease their love and support and all the work by doctors, nurses and researchers do to take care of their patients and push science forward.
